Performance is for everyone

Treatment Methods

The road to health can be complex, we’ve streamlined the process to eliminate stress and achieve optimum individualized results. Our stand is to not only treat, but teach.

Functional Neurology

A variety of treatments used to treat neurological conditions including; TBIs, concussions, musculoskeletal injuries, disorders, and syndromes.

Chiropractic

A very safe, specific, controlled force applied to a joint to restore proper function and mobility. Chiropractic adjustments reduce pain, increase movement and improve performance. This helps patients maintain optimal health while avoiding unnecessary drugs or surgery.

Functional Dry Needling

Functional dry needling uses small needles to release painful muscle trigger points and activate muscles. Dry needling results in deep tissue release that improves range of motion, pain, and movement. Corrective exercises accompany this service to reinforce the myofascial release and restore normal movement patterns.

The Senaptec Sensory Station is a state-of-art sensory evaluation & training station which assesses 10 visual and sensorimotor skills. In less than 25 minutes, you can determine an individual’s strengths and opportunities to improve sensory performance. Patients can then utilize at home or in office training exercises targeted at improving their areas of weakness. These strategies are combined to optimize neurological performance through neuroplasticity.

Senaptec has been proven to improve treatments for; general brain health, TBI and concussions, vision therapy, stroke, joint injury rehabilitation, autism, and Parkinson’s disease.

Senaptec for Athletics

Senaptec allows Dr Burkhardt to bridge the gap between neuroscience and biomechanics for structural strength, power, endurance, body/brain health, and sport/tactical performance.

Senaptec has been widely adopted by doctors, athletics, and government usage.

Cognitive Performance Therapy

This focuses on the reduction of risk factors associated with the loss of our cognitive functions so we can live our best life as we age. Cognitive performance refers to how we learn, remember, concentrate, and maintain a clear and positive mind. Optimal brain health resides within 3 crucial points; daily practice, task difficulty, and cognitive load.

Neuro-Visual Training

Eye discipline, ocular motor strength, and brain processing are the three pillars of neuro-visual training. Through variation of intensity and protocols, we can stimulate the central nervous system in a way in which people are not accustomed. This increased stimulation can promote plasticity (the formation of new stronger, more efficient connections) that the eyes and brain use to process and respond to incoming information.

RightEye

The RightEye system enables Dr. Burkhardt to pinpoint functional vision and brain health issues, identify the root cause of reading problems, and improve athletic performance. In 5-minute, this non-invasive technology measures visual skills in ways that a standard eye exam cannot — enabling us to diagnose and treat underlying vision issues that affect our patients’ quality of life.

Types of Testing

Dynamic - Measures critical dynamic vision skills such as eye movement and coordination for everyday living.

Sports - Measures and analyzes your eye movement, brain processing, and reaction time against peers, amateurs, and pro athletes.

Reading - One in four children has a vision problem that affects learning — a vision problem that is often misinterpreted as disinterest, sleepiness, dyslexia, or ADHD. Recognizing this distinction has monumental implications. Even a child with 20/20 eyesight can have a vision issue at the core of their learning problem.

At- Home - A series of exercises you complete at home. EyeQ Trainer is a non-invasive, computer-based treatment proven to help improve your functional vision. It rehabilitates all six movement systems of the eye and promotes positive neuroplasticity, the ability of the brain to make important neural connections.

Balance Tracking System

The Balance Tracking System (BTrackS™) utilizes “Gold Standard” force plate technology to provide an accurate and reliable balance testing and training for injury assessment and rehabilitation, assessing fall risk, improving sports performance, neurological evaluation and more.

Functional Movement Systems

A systematic approach to protect, correct, and develop your movement health.

Functional Movement Screen - A tool used to evaluate seven fundamental movement patterns in individuals with no current pain or complaints.

Selective Functional Movement Assessment - A clinical assessment for those who experience pain. It is a movement-based diagnostic system that systematically finds the cause of pain - not just the source - by logically breaking down dysfunctional movement patterns in a structured, repeatable assessment.

Fundamental Capacity Screen - Designed to test power production, store and reuse of energy, maintaining posture under load, and controlling balance.

Laser Therapy

Non-pharmaceutical, non-invasive alternative for pain relief, injury repair, and brain healing.

Class IV Laser - This interaction increases the metabolic actions inside of the cell as well as affects the cell membrane which thus allows for the increased flow of nutrients. Class IV lasers work at 4 distinct wavelengths; 650nm visible red, 810nm infrared, 915nm infrared, and 980nm infrared.

Class 3b Handheld Laser - Light induces a complex chain of physiological reactions in diseased and damaged tissues to accelerate wound healing and tissue regeneration, increase circulation, reduce acute inflammation, reduce acute and chronic pain and help restore normal cellular function.
